After signing up for a block of sessions, Alexis Antonopoulos Director and Strength and Conditioning Specialist will take you through an initial consultation where he can establish your current fitness level and your future aspirations. He will discuss and analyse your training and injury histories as well as your general lifestyle including diet, sleeping patterns and stress levels.
Goal setting is key to ensure you are moving in the right direction and our trainers will assist you in setting realistic short and longer term goals.
You will be taken through a simple health assessment including resting heart rate, weight, BMI, skin fold analysis and lung function along with a fitness assessment involving a functional movement screen to see how your body is currently moving so we can develop a plan to correct and strengthen your mechanics. Finally your strength will be assessed by working through a variety of compound exercises targeting several major muscle groups enabling us to work out what resistance to use at the start of your program.
The whole assessment enables us to get an overall picture of your current lifestyle and physical condition so we can put together a tailor made periodised program to get you started. Once underway with your training you will be retested every 6-8 weeks to check on your progressions.
