High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
High Intensity Interval Training is an enhanced form of interval training used in the 1970’s by Peter Coe when designing training sessions for his son Sebastian and is now commonly used all over the world by sports professionals and more recently gym goers to maximise their training and performance.
This form of cardiovascular exercise combines intervals of high intensity exercise with intervals of low intensity exercise or complete rest. This challenges both the anaerobic and aerobic energy systems. Even though longer periods of cardiovascular exercise are more associated with fat burning, the increase in Resting Metabolic Rate (rate at which we burn calories at rest) that occurs with HIIT results in more calories being burnt after the workout.
Our HIIT classes last between 30-45 minutes including warm up and cool down so they won’t take up too much of your precious time but will send your metabolism through the roof ensuring you’re burning calories and torching body fat for several hours after the session.
Our classes must be booked in and paid for in advance (firstname.lastname@example.org) and spaces will be given on a first come first served basis so be quick to be able to get fit!
If you and a group of colleagues from your work fancy having a private HIIT class just contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
